Jason Jolley receives Eagle Scout Award Jason Robert Jolley of Dallas Boy Scout Troop 281 recently re- ceived his Eagle Scout Award during a ceremony at the Dallas United Methodist Church. Jol- ley earned the highest rank in scouting June 15, 2005, five days after graduating from Dallas High School. The son of Robert and Mary Ellen Jolley of Dallas has been active in scouting since joining the Cub Scout Pack inDallasas a Tiger Cub. He moved through the Cub Scout ranks and was awarded the Arrow of Light Award, the highest award in Cub Scouting. Jolley advanced to Boy Scouts and continued his quest to be- come an Eagle Scout. Jolley completed an Eagle Scout project at the Dallas Township recreational park on Sago Street in fall 2003. His pro- ject involved the restoration and construction of a walking trail around the perimeter of the park, building and placing sever- al birdhouses throughout the park, and planting several trees along the newly-created trail. Jolley sought the help of his uncle, Jack Reilly of Courtdale, to assist him in the creation of a sign for the park. Although he is attending college, Jolley re- mains active in Scouting. He is a volunteer with Troop 281 and is training to become a Scout Leader. The majority of his paintings, including the one above, have been inspired by the beautiful landscape of northeastern Pennsylvania. He won the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's 1998 Trout Stamp competition with a watercolor of the west branch of the Delaware River in Wayne County. Lawrenson resides in Elkland. His paintings have placed in several exhibits including two popular vote awards.
