SCHOOL BRIEFS Ross Elementary ‘holds book fair The Ross Elementary School recently held its Scholastic Book Fair “Family Knight” in the school cafeteria. The stu- dents and their families en- joyed shopping for books for all ages. Proceeds will benefit the Reading Is Fundamental program at Ross Elementary. The book fair featured games, door prizes, refresh- ments, treasure box prizes, and face painting. The school also participated in Scholastics “One for Books” program. Parents purchased a book slip for a dollar, which went toward classroom wish lists. Scholas- tic matched the $87 with 87 books that will be donated to the nonprofit organizations Toys for Tots, Family Literacy or Children in Distressed Sit- uations. Dallas yearbooks in high school office The 2005 yearbooks for Dallas High School recently arrived in the main office. The yearbooks may be picked up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays in the main office.
