While scary music played, contests such as mummy-wrapping and donut- ting were held. Prizes were awarded for different costumes. DALLAS STUDENTS LEARN DANGERS OF ALCOHOL Students at Dallas Middle School were recently treated to the sights and sounds of Road Radio, a presentation sponsored by Geisinger Health System and the Children’s Miracle Network. Road Radio is hosted by Jim Mothersbaugh, the survivor of a drunk driving acci- dent, who presented the topic in a multi-media presentation. The assembly touched on the dangers and consequences of destructive behaviors, supplying alcohol to minors, legal drinking ages and various alcohol-related misconceptions. The interactive show included real life stories and experiences, modern music, and “radio callers” discussing the do's and n'ts of drinking. The students and faculty participated in the program. Seminary holding concerts Wyoming Seminary Preparato- ry School has scheduled the fol- lowing music performances: The Wyoming Seminary/PAI Civic Symphony, conducted by Je- rome Campbell, will present its annual December concert at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Avenue in Kingston. The Wyoming Seminary Madrigal Singers and Chorale will present its annual Christmas Choral Con- cert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. Con- ducted by John Vaida, the concert will feature a series of medieval carols and other seasonal music. There is no admission charge to either performance and the public is invited. Madrigal Dinner set for Dec. 2-3 College Misericordia will hold its 36th annual Madrigal Din- ner at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Banks Student Life Center. The an- nual event is one of the oldest and most beloved traditions on the College Misericordia cam- pus. This year’s performance features the return of Sir Geof- fery Thressher, an exciting swordfight demonstration, and special activities for chil- dren. During the Madrigal Dinner, students, faculty, staff, and friends recreate an Elizabethan four-course Christmas feast complete with music, dancing, colorful costumes and even a jester or two. The wassail bowl will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and entertainment at 7 p.m. Admission is $50 for adults and $25 for children un- der age 12. Paintings, drawings to be exhibited at CM The Waichulis Studio at Col- lege Misericordia will exhibit paintings and drawings in “Cap- turing Realism 2005” through Nov. 23 at the MacDonald Art Gallery on the school’s campus. This year’s exhibit features 15 outstanding young artists. The Waichulis Studio began holding the exhibit in 1997 to in- spire and train promising new artists. The studio chooses a se- lect few artists for a fine art ap- prenticeship. Members of the studio have been the recipients of prestigious awards, and fea- tured in national publications and well-respected galleries.
