Baseball boosters plan flea market The Lake-Lehman Baseball Booster Club will hold an in- door flea market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Lake-Lehman High School. In addition to a variety of items, refreshments will be sold. Spaces are available for $10 and may be reserved by calling 674- 7579. LL Booster Club raffling off new car The Lake-Lehman Football Booster Club is holding a raffle for a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. Chances are being sold for $20 each and a maximum of 2,500 chances will be sold. The draw- ing will be held during halftime of the annual Old Shoe game against Dallas. The game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Edward H. Edwards Stadium in Lehman Township. The car, purchased from Ken Pollock Chevrolet in Pittston, is on display at the stadium. The Lake- .Lehman Football Booster Club provides support for the varsity and junior high football pro- grams as well as the varsity cheerleaders. : Dallas B squad taking unbeaten record Three Dallas Junior Mounts youth football teams earned playoff berths as the Wyoming Valley West Youth Football League concluded its regular season action. The opening round of the playoff games will be played Sunday, Oct. 30 at Mountaineer Stadium at Dallas High School. At 11:15 a.m., the C team will play Kingston, followed by the 12:15 p.m. B division game be- tween Dallas and either Ed- wardsville or Duryea. The A divi- sion will cap things off with a 2:15 p.m. game between the Ju- nior Mounts and Swoyersville. All winners advance to the championship games, which will be played Nov. 6 at Lackawanna County Stadium in Moosic. Here are the results from the last weekend of the regular season: A DIVISION Dallas avenged an earlier loss to Plymouth by posting an im- pressive 30-0 win last weekend. Tyler Shutlock scored three times on runs of 30 and 45 yards, respectively, along with a 75- yard interception return. A blocked punt and recovery in the end zone by Dustin Siper- co added another touchdown. Adam Goeringer scored twice on two-point conversions, while Ke- vin Muldoon added another two- point run. Zack Dirsa, Judson Mead, Niko Cerza, and Dustin Si- perko each had a quarterback sack as the defense recorded a shutout. B DIVISION The Junior Mounts finished the season undefeated for the second consecutive season, post- ing a 36-14 win against the Shaw- nee Indians to raise their record to 10-0. Ryan Hanson led the team with two touchdowns, while Brett Wanek, F.J. Costanti- no, and Garrett Artsma scored a touchdown apiece. Hanson and Logan Bullock scored on two- point conversions. The offensive line played well, leading the way for five rushing touchdowns and more than 300 rushing yards. The defensive line, linebackers and secondary also played well. Donnie Behm recorded a sack for a safety, while Kyle Ely and Wanek each recorded an interception for Dal- las. C DIVISION Dallas used a strong perform- ance by its offense, defense and special teams to win its ninth consecutive game, a 12-0 victory against Plymouth. The Junior Mounts (9-1) scored in the second quarter on a 15-yard punt return by Mark Michno. In the third quarter, Ryan Zapoticky broke through for a 40-yard touchdown run to make the score 12-0. Running back Zack Connelly finished the game with 75 rushing yards. The Dallas defense was lead by Jude Moran, Mitchell Benson and Ryan Monk. Jack Parente had two key fumble recoveries on special teams. D DIVISION Cole Dixon scored two touch- downs and passed for a two- point conversion in a 22-0 win against the Shawnee Indians. KT Raiders sweep Flyers to enter Three Kingston Township Raiders youth football teams earned playoff berths as the Wyoming Valley West Youth Football League concluded its regular season action. At press time, the C and B teams were getting ready to take the field in a playoff game against Swoyersville. The Raiders D team will play Swoyersville at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 30 at Moun- taineer Stadium at Dallas High School. Here are the results from the last weekend of the regular season: B DIVISION The Raiders blanked Forty Fort, 18-0, to finish the regular season with a record of 6-4. Quin- cy Patrick opened the scoring with a 35-yard sweep into the endzone in the first half. David Gawlas increased the lead to 12-0 with a quarterback keeper for a touchdown. A 35-yard Gawlas- to-Patrick touchdown pass closed out the scoring. The Raid- ers offensive line and defensive unit played very well against the Flyers. C DIVISION The Raiders (9-1) finished the regular season in tie for first place, thanks to a 386 win against the Forty Fort Flyers. The Raiders scored on five of their six possessions and gained 350 yards of total offense. The of- fensive line opened holes and paved the way for the backs to av- erage 8.5 yards per carry. Jesse Shaffer scored three touchdowns, on runs of 23, 42 and 36 yards. Corey Patrick add- ed a 40-yard touchdown run while Jacob Rome scored from 65 yards out. Ed Meszczynski, Joe Stier, Matt Doggett and Pa- trick each add a two-point con- version. A Defensively, Mike Olenginski, Josh Weaver, Robert Wargo and Meszczynski combined for nine sacks while the secondary of Joe Kimble, Chris Knecht, Omar Nij- meh and Patrick held Forty Fort to zero completions on 10 at- tempts. D DIVISION The Raiders finished its un- beaten regular season with an playoffs on high note 18-6 win against Forty Fort. King- ston Township raised its record to 9-0-1 with the win.
