In addition to 18 holes of golf, the event featured a patio hot dog lunch, dinner, refreshments, and prizes. All proceeds will be used to benefit educational programs at Bishop O'Reilly High School. SPORTS BRIEFS L-L Booster Club raffling off new car The Lake-Lehman Football Booster Club is holding a raffle for a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. Chances are being sold for $20 each and a maximum of 2,500 chances will be sold. The drawing will be held dur- ing halftime of the annual Old Shoe game against Dallas. The game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Edward H. Edwards Stadium in Lehman Township. The car, purchased from Ken Pol- lock Chevrolet in Pittston is on display at every Lake-Lehman home game this season. The Black Knights host Nanticoke on Oct. 28 before the season finale against rival Dallas. All Lake-Lehman football players and varsity cheerleaders are selling tickets. Fall craft show set for Oct. 23 The Dallas High School Boys Soc- cer Club will hold its annual fall craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at the high school. More than 100 vendors from Penn- sylvania and New Jersey will be represented, selling various crafts including hand made items, semi- precious gemstone jewelry, needle- work, candles, ceramics, potpourri, quilts, stenciled lampshades, wood- crafts, wreaths, handmade dolls and homemade candy. For more in- formation, contact Dallas swim coach Matthew Stretanski at mstretanski@dallassd.com. ® There will be an evening public swim program from 8-9 p.m. Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Fridays and 2-5 p.m. Sun- days at the natatorium in the Dallas Middle School. The pool is open to residents of the Dallas School District for lap and recreational swimming. No one under 18 will be admitted without a parent or guardian. Proof of residence is required and there is a $2 daily fee. p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays through March 1. Boys and girls swim- mers ages 6-14 are eligible. No competitive swimming experi- ence is required. Members must be able to support them- | selves in the water. There is no residency requirement. The membership fee is $200 per swimmer. The fee includes a team bathing suit, team swim cap, team T-shirt, insurance and league membership. The NEPAGSL is an T-team competitive swimming league. | There are dual meets during the regular season and a championship meet at the end of February. * The Mountaineer Diving Team is an Amateur Athletic Union program. The age group diving team will begin practice in late October. No previous diving experience is needed. Kuzma will coach divers ages 8 and older.
