Mrs. Anderson was born at Harveys Lake, and was the daughter of the late Gertrude Anderson. She graduated from ~ Laketon High School. She was a member of the Meade St. Baptist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and the Salvation Army, Wilkes-Barre. She was employed as a housekeeper for the late Dr. Irving Evans for 25 years and was the manager of the Sutton ome, Wilkes-Barre for eight ears, retiring from Heritage - House, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Caputo. She is survived by a brother, George May, Outlet; sisters, Mary King, York; Esther Baer, Pennsylvania Ave., Loyalville;, Neva Kocher, Loyalville; Ethel Greskewicz, Harveys Lake; Iris Weeks, Dallas; and Kitty McDaniels, Harveys Lake. MATTIE BENNETT Lifelong resident of Beaumont Mattie (Straley) Bennett, 95, of Beaumont, died May 29, 2005, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Kingston. Mrs. Bennett was born in ‘Root Hollow, a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Goodwin) Root. She was a lifelong resident of Beaumont. She was a member of the Beaumont Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker. She was a member of Lend-A- Hand. Preceding her in death was ier first husband, Emory Straley; second husband Walter Bennett; granddaugh- ter Mona Pivic; brothers Gerald and Floyd Root; sisters Grace Belles, Leona Sorber and Stella Trowbridge Belles. Pluskie, 70, of Midway Manor, Shavertown, died May 25, 2005, at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital, follow- 1,ing a long illness. He was born in Dickson City, the son of the late Anthony and Louise (Osiecki) Pluskie. Mr. Pluskie was married for ® years to the former Norma Subarton of Nanticoke. A grad- uate of Dickson City High School, he was a member of the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Mr. Pluskie, for many years, was co-owner of the Camera City store in Edwardsville and later became founder and for- mer owner of Dallas Photo on the Luzerne-Dallas Highway, retiring in 2000. Miller, 86, of the Village of Orange, Franklin Township, died peacefully at home with Community Hospice Care, devoted care- givers, and family. He was a “Trooper” till the end, full of charm, humor, and wit. Born October 12, 1918 in Shamokin, he was the son of the late William L. and Prossa M. Gray Miller. He was a 1936 graduate of Shamokin High School. Mr. Miller resided in Forty Fort for many years before relo- cating to Orange. Mr. Miller served in the US Army during WWII in the Military Police. He attended the Criminal Investigation School of the Provost Marshal General's office, Fort Sam Houston, TX. He enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 1940. Stationed at Troop P, Wyoming, he was assigned to the third Squadron Detective Division. Mr. Miller was detached to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, participating in the Philadelphia Grand Jury investigations from 1947 to 1952. He served at Troop P, Wyoming, as a criminal investi- gator supervisor until his retire- ment in 1978. He was a charter member of the Frank Albert Lodge No. 43; Fraternal Order of Police; Masonic Lodge No. 468, Wyoming; Bloomsburg Consistory; Irem Temple; and the American Legion Post No. 395, Kingston. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Bartha Feltman; son, William H. Miller and his wife, Sandra; daughter, Suzanne M. Haas and her hus- band, George, all of the Village of Orange, Franklin Twp.; grandchildren, Shawn W. Jennifer was born in Sayre, Pa., on Nov. 16, 1973. She was a daughter of James and Carol Dunn Jr., of Towanda, Pa., and Thomas and Laurie Kehler of Harveys Lake. A graduate of St. Agnes School in Towanda, Dallas High School and Luzerne County Community College, Jennifer was employed by Orthopedic Consultants as a receptionist and medical billing specialist. Jennifer will always be loved and remembered for her infectious smile, her unique and outgoing personality, and for her love of all animals, espe- cially cats. MARION ROBINSON Former District Justice Marion J. “Geege” Robinson, 79, of Tunkhannock, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, after an illness. She was born in Mill City on March 2, 1926, a daughter of the late George O. and Marion Margarite Vaow Ross. She was a retired district jus- tice, serving Tunkhannock and Wyoming County for two and a half terms, from 1982 to 1996, when she became a senior dis- trict justice. She was member of the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church, a gradu- ate of Tunkhannock High School, and Mansfield State Teachers College, Class of 1947. Geege enjoyed watching the dolphins at the beach with her grandchildren. She loved her . cats, Cry Baby and Pretty Kitty. Her family will miss her immensely. * She was preceded in death by a son, Mark. She is survived by her hus- band, M.
