Funds needed to care for cemetery The Community Bible Church of Sweet Valley, formerly the First Christian Church, is calling for help from folks who have rel- atives buried in the cemetery adjacent to the church. Volunteers have been caring for the cemetery, but it is time for much-needed restoration work. Tombstones need to be straightened, sunken areas need to be filled and the grass needs to be limed, fertilized and mowed. The cemetery is very old, no plots are left. Any trust fund that was ever set up to care for the graves has long been exhausted. Monetary contributions to this cause will be deeply appreciated. Make checks payable to The Community Bible Church of Sweet Valley, earmarked for cemetery maintenance, and send it to the church at 5390 Main Road, Sweet Valley, PA, 18656.
