The meeting will be held from 6: "10 "7 ‘pm.r-at ‘the Environmental Interpretive Center. A detailed map display- ing the proposed changes will be on hand. Discussion topics will focus on expanded hunting opportunities for Canada geese and white-tailed deer. Opportunities for goose hunting will be considered along the extreme western shoreline of the lake. This will greatly increase the opportuni- ty for hunters to help control the goose population, which is currently affecting the water quality and raising health con- cerns. Archery hunting for white-tailed deer will be pro- posed for areas outside the day- use or heavily used areas of the park. All hunting within the confines of the park will be sub- ject to the rules and regulations established by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources. A 30-day public comment period will follow the meeting. All comments should be direct- ed to Frances Slocum State Park, 565 Mt. Olivet Rd., Wyoming, Pa. 18644 via mail, telephone, in person, or e-mail. For more information, call the park office at 696-3525.
