Building Hope Club helps children - The Lake-Lehman Junior High Building Hope Club organized a collection of boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Each homeroom was given a large shoebox to fill with toys, school supplies and small gifts. All gifts had to fit into the shoe- boxes, which were then sent to children worldwide. Sixteen boxes were filled by the home- room students. Stephanie Ciehoski coordinated the collec- tion. John Maciejczak and May Heindel served as project man- agers. The club also organized a toy collection for Toys for Tots. The collection featured a contest between the seventh and eight grades. The seventh grade col- lected the most toys and points and were able to wear hats in school and to sit in front during the talent show. The junior high students brought in over 100 toys in just four days. Project managers were Jonathon Thomas, Adam Supey, and Ricky Swanson. Pictured are students who helped to pack and mark the boxes.
