He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean Miller Sick. He was born in Tunkhannock on November 20, 1931, son of the late Horace and Ella Otten Sick. : He was a 1949 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and attended Keystone College. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict. In 1950 he and his father founded Horace J. Sick and Son in Tunkhannock. He was active in the Tunkhannock @ area all his life. He active in the formation and development of the Tunkhannock Little League and the Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association. He served for over 20 years on the Tunkhannock Sewer Authority. He was a fifty- year member of Temple Lodge No. 248 F&AM in Tunkhannock. He was a mem- ber of the Tunkhannock Rotary Club with 25 years of perfect attendance and was the recipi- ent of the club’s first Paul Harris award. He was active on both the local and district lev- els of Rotary Student Exchange Program and for many years headed the Rotary Action Committee. He was a member of the RV Rotary Fellowship, a member of the Dennis Strong American Legion Post, mem- ber of the Irem Temple Lodge, Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, and served regional director on the rd of the Tunkhannock Office of the Peoples National Bank. He was a member of Triton Hose Company since 1955, serving as Secretary from 1961 to 1984 and as vice president from 1985 to present. He was active in the planning, building and securing of funding for the new Triton Hose Company Building. She was employed as a child care worker at St. Michael's School for Boys, Tunkhannock. She enjoyed bowling, ice skating and spend- ing time with her family, espe- cially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Thomas and Kenny. Kriefski, 84, of Tunkhannock died February 11, 2005 in the VNA Hospice Unit at the Heritage House in Wilkes Barre. He was born in Glen Lyon on May 12, 1920, son of the late Constantine and Cecilia Osinska Kriefski. He was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1938; an Army veteran of WWII, during which he served as a 1st Lieutenant; and a grad- uate of the Brockway Game Commission School, Brockway. Prior to his retirement, he served as a game protector for 38 years in Union, Pike-Wayne, Centre and Wyoming counties. He was a member of the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly of God Church, Trucksville. He was preceded in death by sisters, Genevieve Lippet, Irene Romano and Flossie Shanko. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Agnes Dekoski. She was employed by Burroughs Corp., Watchung, NJ, where she worked on rocket parts for the Apollo Space Program and later at the Tomcast Corp., Mountain Top, for the last 13 years.
