McNulty, 82, of Old Lake Road, Harveys Lake, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Sept. 30, 2004, in Hospice Care of the VNA at Heritage House. Born Feb. 12, 1922, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daugh- ter of the late Richard and Ju- lia Sinn McNulty. She was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to retirement, Miss McNulty was employed by American Furniture for 53 years: She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Immacu- late Conception. A sister, Irene Worrall; and brother, William L. McNulty, preceded her in death. Surviving are nieces and [Ft including Jean iller of Swoyersville; and Gerald McNulty of Dallas. Kozak, 97, of Beau- mont, died Sept. 30, 2004, in the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. She was born in Laflin, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Smolka Kuback. She attended Jenkins Township schools. Mrs. Kozak was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harvey’s Lake. A resident of Harveys Lake and Kingston, Mr. Kuschke was born in Plymouth on Oct. 22, 1934, the son of Robert and Ruth Kuschke. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School, class of 1952, and had also graduated from Blair Academy, Blairstown, N.J., and Wilkes College. He was associated with the Robert D. Kuschke Insurance Agency in Plymouth for 42 years, be- fore retiring in 2002. During Mr. Kuschke’s life- time he became a member of Plymouth Lodge 332, Scranton Consistory, and Irem Temple Country Club. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ply- mouth and former President of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Administra- tive Board. Additional titles in- clude Treasurer of Plymouth Public Library, Secretary and Treasurer of Clark Lumber and Supply Co., a member of the Board of Directors of Ply- mouth National Bank and of the Associate Board of North- eastern Bank. His devoted, caring and lov- ing wife, Marilyn (Shymansky) Kuschke, with whom he re- cently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary, survives him. Remaining family mem- bers include son Robert and his wife, Elizabeth, of Harveys Lake; daughters, Amy and her husband, Kirk Vandermark, of Reno, Nev.; and Julie and her husband, Robert Grenon, of San Francisco, Calif. Also sur- viving are four grandchildren: Grace Elizabeth Kuschke, Charlie John Kuschke III, Chloe Edgell and Griffin Robert Vandermark. Send obituaries to: resident, Scout leader Henrietta Schimmel King died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004. She celebrated her 81st birthday on Sept. 8. She was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Jennie Williams Schimmel and was a graduate of Nanticoke High School Class of 1941. She resided in Lehman Township for 53 years. She was a civil de- fense communications volun- teer during World War II; a Girl Scout leader in Nanticoke and Trucksville;, and a Sunday school teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nanticoke. Married in 1948, she moved to the Back Mountain and was employed by George Bulford’s International Harvester dealer- ship at Hillside. She later worked as a medical secretary for 13 years. She was a mem- ber of the Lake-Lehman Wrestling Hall of Fame for her avid support of the team, and was an expert seamstress. Her greatest love was her family and she was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E., in 1992; a son-in-law, Dr. Umid R. Nejib, in 2002; and brother, Henry E. Schimmel, in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara E. King (Nejib), Dallas; Sally J. King (Falck), Trucksville, and son- in-law, Ove Falck; in addition to cousins, nieces and nephews.
