New books added at Back Mountain Memorial Library Cancer survivors to be feted at stadium The Komen NEPA Breast Cancer Foundation and The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons will team up to host Breast Cancer Survivor Night at Lackawanna County Stadi- um Thursday, August 5. The Red Barons will be taking on the Buffalo Bisons in a double- header with the special pro- gram taking place between games. The first game is slate to begin at 5 p.m. : Festivities will begin immedi- ately following the .conclusion of the first game. Survivors wearing a pink Survivor Komen NEPA Race for the Cure® t-shirt will re- ceive a free game ticket and fans who wear any white Komen NEPA Race for the Cure® t-shirt get half off. Ceremonies will be highlight- ed by the formation of the Pink Survivors Living Ribbon with the assistance of the Seton Catholic cheerleaders. If taxes are paid by a mortgage company or bank, the property owner is responsi- ble for forwarding the bill to them. County and municipal taxes are now due at penalty value. The last day to pay all 2004 taxes is December 15. In addition to the hours and office location printed on the tax bills, taxes may be paid at the municipal building on Route 29 two Saturdays, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28, between 10 a.m. and noon.
