Baker of Wyoming will present a varied program of stories and songs at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 14 during the St. Paul’s Evangeli- cal Lutheran Church second an- nual Summer Festival. Baker’s performance is free and open to the public. The fes- tival will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the church grounds in Dallas Town- ship, off Route 118. Baker, a certified teacher, has een telling stories since 1989 and is a member of the Nation- al Storytelling Network. She also is a founder and organizer of Voices of the Valley, a local storytelling group, and has per- formed at schools, churches, campgrounds, camps and cof- feehouses throughout the Northeast. Festival attractions include a flea market and Chinese auc- tion, an art display, a variety of booths, food, a book sale, a plants and produce stand, a bake sale, face painting, and arts and crafts. Community Bible Study through August 11 A community Bible Study sponsored by the Back Mountain Ministerium will be held this summer every Wednesday through August 11 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas. The study meets at noon and 7 p.m. and covers the Book of Acts, led by a different pastor each week. Attendance every week is not neces- sary and dress is summer casual.
