Born April 3, 1935, in Kingston, he was the son of Bert Drew, former may- or of Kingston, and Mary Dav- enport Hus- band. He was a 1953 gradu- ate of Kingston schools. He re- ceived a bach- elor’s degree from Millersville State Teachers Col- lege, a master’s degree from Temple University and com- pleted graduate studies at Wilkes University, Penn State University, Montana State Col- lege, University of Pittsburgh d the University of Pennsyl- ania. He taught biology at Kingston High School and Dal- las Senior High School, where he also coached wrestling and golf. During that time, he was instrumental in establishing the Dallas High School Booster Club and the Wyoming Valley Golf League. He was employed by Intermediate Unit 18 and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, where he worked on curriculum development and assisted with the design of programs for Pennsylvania’s ju- venile corrections population. He also co-owned Track’s Bar, Kingston. He was a member of the Irem Shriners AAONMS, Shekinah Royal Arch Chapter 182 Masonic Temple, Dieu Le Veut Commandry 45 Knights Templar, all in Wilkes-Barre; and Kingston Lodge 395 F&AM, Kingston; the Pennsyl- vania State Education Associa- tion, the National Education Association, and the Correc- @® Education Association. e served as National Presi- dent of the CEA. He was a charter member of the Wilkes College Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, a professional educa- tor’s fraternity. Surviving are his wife, Dar- liene; children, Heather H. Rus- eskas, Plymouth; Alana H. Rosser, Avoca; Philip D. II, Suf- folk, Va.; and step-son, Francis J. Prest III, Dallas; six grand- children; brothers, Thomas D., Kingston; Philip D., Orange, Conn.; Bert D., Rochester, N.Y.; and John D., Silver Springs, Md.; and nieces and nephews. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John G. and Mary (Marko) Mattie. He was a 1964 graduate of Swoyersville High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Priebe Jr, 53, of Manor Drive, Dallas, died No- vember 24, 2003 at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Paul and Maxine (Lash) Priebe Sr. of Florissant, Mo. He graduated from Dallas High School and attended Valpariso University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet- nam. He was the owner of Pikes Creek Restoration and former president of Geneco Services Inc., Sweet Valley. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Dallas. He also was a member of the George M. Dallas Lodge 531, F&AM; Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre and its Antique and Classic Car Unit; Antique Automobile Club of America, Northeastern Pennsylvania Re- gion; and was past commodore of the Harveys Lake Yacht Club. He was a son of the late George and Veda Lewis and was a 1943 graduate of Forty Fort High School. He served in the US. Navy during World War II. He was owner of West Side Building Material Co., Luzerne. He was a member of the Forty Fort Presbyterian Church. Janusanis, 73, of the North End of Wilkes- Barre, died November 28, 2003 at the Inpatient Unit of Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Adam and Mary (Ungvarsky) Janu- sanis. He was a 1948 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a corporal with Company A, 70th Engi- neer Battalion, in Germany. He was employed in the Scranton area for many years and was owner and operator of A & A Radiator, Wilkes- Barre, for many years. He was a member of the Parish Com- munity of Sacred Heart/St. John the Evangelist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and Brookside Post 837 American Legion. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, the former Joan Chiback; daughter, Michelle Ligotski, Hanover Township; two grandchildren; sister, Flo- rence Juris, Dallas; and sever- al nieces and nephews.
