Rogers, 79, of Dal- las, died Monday August 25, 2003 at Meadows Nursing Cen- ter, Dallas. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank L. and Mabel (Spencer) Whitesell. She graduated from Luzerne High School and Wyoming Seminary. She worked as a secretary for Coates Reprographics, Dallas . and Samuels Insurance Agency, Dallas. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, v Lehman. She was twice past .. president of the Mozart Club, Wilkes-Barre; she was pianist for Orpheus Choral Society and i. Word and Music Gospel Trio. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira B. Smith. Surviving are her husband of 10 years, George A.; son, Brent A. Smith, Atlanta, Ga; step- sons, Jonathan, China; and David, Tunkhannock; step- daughter, Georgia Della Cruz, Bethesda, MD; two grandchil- dren; and five step grandchil- dren. Moseman, 91, of Pine Street, Harveys Lake, died Friday August 22, 2003 at Hos- pice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Laflin, he was the son of the late Wright and Nel- lie (Devers) Moseman. He at- tended Coughlin High School. He worked as a supply clerk for Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopa- ny; Laflin Breaker; and Wilkes- Barre Steam Heat Co. He also operated his own coal truck. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre. Surviving are his wife of 63 FRANCES JOHNSON Formerly worked for College Misericordia Frances Rinehart Johnson, 85, formerly of Wilkes-Barre and Shavertown died Sunday August 24, 2003 at Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born January 11, 1918 in Binghamton, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Bernard and the Blanche (Deuel) Don- ahue. She was a graduate of Johnson City High School. She worked at the Johnson City and Back Mountain libraries; and for College Misericordia and Offset Paperback in Dallas; and Lane’s Department Store; and WBRE-TV. She was a former member of St. Therese’s Parish, Shavertown; and St. Therese’s Parish, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Rine- hart, in October 1964; and sec- ond husband, Edward L. John- son, in October 1993. Surviving are daughters, Car- ol Sorber, Harvey's Lake; and Susan Sutton, Sweet Valley; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; brother, Robert Donahue, Johnson City, N.Y; and several nieces and nephews.
