Kingston Twp. chosen ® for ‘Community Audit’ Kingston Township has been chosen as one of two Luzerne County municipalities, along with Wright Township, to par- ticipate in an “Community Au- dit” that is being funded jointly by the Pennsylvania Depart- ment of Community and Eco- nomic Development and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation of Natural Re- sources. The services are being provided in response to devel- opment pressures that exist in the Back Mountain and Moun- taintop areas. The audit is being performed by EDAW Inc. and Greenway Inc. at the request of the Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties’ Planning Commis- sions in preparation of a Bi- Arthritis exercise course in Dallas® The Arthritis Foundation will conduct a PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) program beginning Tuesday, July 22 at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church located at 420 Main Street in Dallas. The program will run for six weeks until August 30., and consists of a one-hour class twice a week, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. This program is supported County Open Space Master Plan. The audit involves a 3- step process that includes a Trend Evaluation and Docu- ment Evaluation followed by Mappings of Scenarios to be provided to the participating municipalities as well as the County. Ordinances of the Township will be reviewed from environ- mental, open space, and green- way aspects along with current and prospective demographics. The evaluation will highlight the future needs of Kingston Township with respect to open space conservation and provide an invaluable tool for use in up- dating the Comprehensive Plan for the Township. by a grant from the Blue Rib- bon Foundation of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
