Tour offers peek at 7 unique Back Mountain gardens The Anthracite Scenic Trails As- sociation (ASTA) and the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club have teamed up to offer a tour of Back Mountain gardens. The event will take place Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. The tour will include seven gar- dens in Dallas, Shavertown, Lehman Township and Franklin Township, each exhibiting a unique style and relationship to the home it complements, from historic to contemporary. Visitors may stop at any or all of the homes. Admission tickets are $15 each in advance. They are available at sponsoring restaurants, landscap- ers and florists, or send a request with payment to: ASTA, P.O. Box 212, Dallas PA 18612. You will re- ceive a map and description of the gardens. Proceeds benefit the ASTA effort to complete the Back Mountain Trail. Children under 12 will not be admitted.
