4 Dallas Post Dallas, PA Friday, May 9, 2003 Mr. and Mr.s Eric Nygren Eric Nygren takes Jacqylyn Burke as bride Jacqulyn Lee Burke and Eric Alan Nygren were united in mar- riage October 19, 2002 at the Back Mountain Harvest Assembly, Trucksville. Rev. Robert Coscia performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Richard and Deborah Burke, Sr., formerly of Lehman. She is the granddaughter of Catherine Burke, Courtdale, and the late Carl G.W. Burke, and the late John and Marie Anthony Adonizio. The groom is the son of Dale and Brenda Nygren, Sweet Valley. He is the grandson of Robert and Ruth Nygren, Sr., Sweet Valley, and Goldie Hadsall, Pittston, and the late Carlton Hadsall, Trucksville. The bride chose Jennifer Kastenbaum as her matron of honor. The groom chose Ryan Mahle as his best man. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Stax & Co., Dallas. An evening cocktail and dinner reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at the Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas. Mrs. Nygren is a 1998 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychiatry from Messi- ah College in May of 2001. She also attended Greenville Tech, and is pursuing’a doctor of chiropractic degree at Sherman Col- lege of Straight Chiropractic, Spartanburg, S.C. Mr. Nygren is a 1998 graduate of Lake-Lehman High Seheol, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science form Syracuse University in December of 2001. He is employed by Power Security, Inc., and works in the information technology field as a private contractor in the Greenville-Spartanburg area Morris, Snyder engagement announced Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Morris, Clearfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Don- ald Snyder, Kingston, announce the engagement of their chil- dren, Holly Morris and 1st Lt. Phillip Snyder. The bride-to-be is a 1994 graduate of Clearfield Area High School, a 1999 graduate of Lock Haven University, and a 2001 graduate of Penn State University Capital Campus where she earned a master’s degree in Health Education. Holly resides in Lancaster and is employed by Hempfield School District. The prospective groom is a 1996 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Scranton in 2000. Phillip is currently stationed in Baumbholder, Germany, where he serves in the First Battalion, Sixth Infantry Regimen of the United States Army’s First Armor Division. of South Carolina. Postal workers to collect for BMT Food Pantry On Saturday, May 10, Back Mountain postal workers will collect non-perishable food from their postal patrons. This annual event brings in hun- dreds of pounds of food to re- stock the shelves of the food pantry, which will move in June from the basement of the town- ship building to the new addi- tion of the administration building at Trucksville United Methodist Church. Patrons are asked to put their donations near their mail boxes for pickup at their usual deliv- ery time. Food in cans and sealed plastic bottles and jars are preferred as they are more easily transported with minimal damage. The items should be placed in bags. The Fresh Air Fund seeks volunteers to host city kids The Fresh Air Fund is seeking more host families in the Dallas area to open their homes to a’ New York City child for two weeks this summer. The Fresh Air Fund's Friendly Town Program has brought more than 1.7 million disadvantaged young New Yorkers to hundreds of suburban and rural communi- ties throughout 13 Northeastern states and . Canada to explore country life and summer pas- times. Fresh Air host families can choose the gender and age of their visitor. First time Fresh Air children are between the ages of six and 12. The following items may be dropped off: aluminum and bi-metal cans, clear, brown and green glass, plastic #1 and #2 only. No motor oil containers or scrap aluminum can be accepted.
