12 Dallas Post Dallas, PA Friday, May 9, 2033 BMT plays into “tournament final Back Mountain played its way into the championship game of the David “Dome” Yenchek 13- Year-old Tournament this past weekend in Nanticoke. Back Mountain scored victories over Plymouth & S. Wilkes-Barre by the scores of 14-1 and 12-1. Matt Ruch pitched his team to victory in the Plymouth game and Mike Prater claimed the win against S. Wilkes-Barre. Back Mountain pounded out 24 hits in the two games. Ruch collected four hits in- cluding a double and triple. Prater had three hits with a triple. Josh Backes and Tom Per- ry had three hits including a double. Joe Bevevino, Eric Tuck- er and Kyle Arnaud chipped in two hits apiece. Giants 5, Astros 3 Eric Cannon and Bob Peron combined to strike out 11 and only give up five hits in a 5-3 win over the Astros. Chris Dailey and Cannon had key hits for the Giants and Peron chipped in with a double. Michael Eckman was on the losing end of an 11 strike out performance. Richard Dante had two hits including a CROSSWORD CORNER double and Zach Yursha also had a hit for the Astros. Dodgers 4, Orioles 3 Corey Shaver continued his pitching dominance with 17 strike outs while only giving up two hits in a Dodger win. Stephen Shilling had two hits and Austin Carr added one for the Dodgers. Ryan Urzen had the only two hits for the O's, with a triple and a single. Keith Roberts made several great de- fensive plays for the Orioles. A’s 3, Indians 2 Pat Healey and Derek Martin struck out 14 in the win. Martin and Healey also led the attack with two hits apiece. Dave Fetchko pitched a great game for the Tribe, striking out 14. Dave and Darius Fetchko also had two hits each for the Indians. Hunter Englehart and Mitch Artsma had two hits each for the Phillies, one of them a triple for Artsma. Nick Latosek and Stephen Olshemski had hits for the Reds.
