DALLAS TWP. — Jeff Dickson whacked a bases-loaded single into left field with two outs to score the game-winning run for the Mountaineers. With one out, Mike Fehlinger singled and moved to second on a wild pitch. After two outs, Ryan Gryskevicz doubled in Fehlinger to tie the score at 11. After a pair of walks, Dickson singled home Gryskevicz with CB winning run. Winning pitcher Ryan Bolton had four hits to lead the win- ners. Gryskevicz doubled twice and scored three times. Dallas All-Stars win championship The Dallas 5th grade All-Star Basketball team recently cap- tured the championship of the CYC League by defeating Lake- Lehman 33-23 in the finals. they finished the season undefeated. Nanticoke 6, Dallas 5 MOOSIC — Greater Nanticoke Area defeated Dallas, 6-5, on Sunday in the Annual Hard Ball High School Baseball Classic at Lackawanna County Stadium. Jeff Dickson had two hits for the Mountaineers. Lake-Lehman 12, Montrose 10 MOOSIC — Lake-Lehman won a slugfest Saturday in the annu- al Hardball High School Baseball Classic at Lackawanna County Stadium. The Black Knights edged Mon- trose, 12-10. Winning pitcher Matt Shishkowski belted a two-run triple and Jared Sadowski had an RBI single in a six-run first inning for Lake-Lehman. Pat McHugh added two hits and an RBI for the Black Knights. Shishkowski was named his team’s all-star performer. Wyoming Area 6, Lake-Lehman 5 WEST PITTSTON — Lehman took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth on a two-run home run by Dustin Kapson, and scored three more runs in the sixth, but it was not enough as Wyoming Area scored three times in each inning to claim the victory. Mark Kapitula hit a three-run homer in the top of the sixth, to give the Black Knights a 5-3 lead. Jared Sadowski took the loss in relief. Dal- las scored six runs in the top of See ROUNDUP, pg 12 Jefferson Dickinson inducted into Lake-Lehman Basketball Hall of Fame The Lake-Lehman Boys’ Basketball Booster Club recently elected Jefferson Dickinson class of 1970 into the Hall of Fame. He was a four year basketball letterman at Lake-Lehman. As a freshman he averaged 8 points. As a sophomore he averaged 19.1 points and was voted to the All Star 2nd team of the B Division of the Wyoming Valley Conference. As a junior he averaged 12.1 points. In his se- nior year he led the B Division in scoring 26.1 points and averaging 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 steals, and 80% from the free throw line. Track meet to be held under the lights The track and field meet between the Dallas and Lake-Lehman squads will be held under the lights at Lake-Lehman’s field.
