The Region 2 Competition was comprised of nearly 50 area schools with hundreds of stu- dents participating in grade levels seven through twelve. The awards banquet was held at Genetti Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Students in the eighth grade, who were repeat first awards winners from last year, were Molly Kalish, Kristine Stanks, Jacqueline Thomas, Ariel Zurad, and Kathleen Paley (perfect scores). The seventh grade winners were; Devin Albrecht, Katie Banas, Lauren Blane, Dominic Jose, Carl Peterlin, Matthew Ruch, and Noah Zurad.
