DYB 7th/8th grade boys skills competition The boys 7th/8th grade skills competition will be held this Sun- day, Feb. 16 at Wycallis. Midfielder Carla Chiampi, half- back Megan DeCesaris, forward Meredith Edwards and midfielder Lisa Wasser of the Lake-Lehman field hockey team signed to ac- cept athletic scholarships from Division I schools during a cere- mony at the school. Three of the four Knights had made up their minds quite a while ago. Chiampi made a ver- bal commitment to Ball State University, and Edwards to the University of Louisville during the season. Wasser decided on Louisville shortly after Lehman won the PIAA Class 2A state championship. The last to decide was DeCe- saris, who chose Quinnipiac Col- lege in Connecticut about two weeks ago. In addition to leading the Black Knights to the state title, Chi- ampi, DeCesaris, Edwards and Wasser were also named all-state by the state coaches association.
