Grace Resio, 92, of Dallas, died Saturday November 9, 2002 at Meadows Nursing Cen- ter, Dallas. Born in Pittston, Jan. 17, 1910 she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria DeGiro- lamo. She graduated from Pittston High School, attended New York University, and stud- ied at Lutheran Deacon Moth- erhouse, Baltimore. She worked for the New York Times. She performed missionary work for Inner Mission Society, Brook- lyn, N.Y. She belonged to Sec- ond Presbyterian Church, Pittston, where she served as superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School and was a deacon, elder and a charter member of the Golden Star Class. She volunteered, reading bible stories, at Meadows Nurs- ing Center. She belonged to the Social Club at Meadows Apart- ments, the Meadows Auxiliary and the Dallas Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony F.; sis- ter, Concetta Dell'Osso; and brothers, John, Michael, George and Albert. Surviving are daughters Ma- rietta Toole, Shavertown and Beverly Jawidzik, N.J.; son, John, Dallas; four grandchil- dren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
