® \, mS = The Dallas Post Dallas, PA° ./ Dombroski will study abroad Jennifer Dombroski of Dallas, is one of 21 Susquehanna Uni- versity juniors who will partici- pate in the eighth annual Lon- don Program of the Sigmund Weis School of Business during the 2003 spring semester. The program is designed to provide students with an inter- national experience to develop and expand their learning ca- pabilities and broaden their perspectives about possible ca- reers. Dombroski, a biology major at Susquehanna University and a 2000 graduate of Dallas High School, is the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Dom- broski. Bednarek on dean’s RIF event at Lehman-Jackson The Lehman-Jackson Elementary School PTA will be holding their first RIF (Reading is Fundamental) event for this school year on Friday, November 15. Featured for this event is the sixth annual poster contest. The theme for this year's contest is “Together We Read.” The contest is designed to challenge the students to combine their best artwork with the importance of reading. The students participating will have the chance to have their poster sent to Washington D.C. to be entered into the national level contest. More than 15,000 applications were received for the first-year class. Urban is a member of Georgetown University’s Class of 2006 in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Urban graduated from Dallas Senior High School in spring 2002. Ngonyi is a member of Georgetown University’s Class of 2006 in the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Ngonyi graduated from Wyoming Semi- nary in 2002. Valvano graduates fro m Slippery Rock Frank Valvano of Dallas recently completed his coursework at Slippery Rock University over the summer. Valvano earned a Bache- lor of Science in Finance. Shafer receives Keystone College scholarship Keystone College recently held its sixth annual scholarship lun- ) cheon to honor scholarship donors and 2002-2003 recipients. At the luncheon, Troy Shafer of Dallas, received the Margaret Briggs Schol- arship. Troy is a sophomore in the sport and recreation manage- ment program.
