She was raised and educated in Aus- tralia. She came to this country as a WWII war bride, in June of 1945. Mrs. Keefer had resided in Shavertown for the past six years. Previously, she had resided at Ormond By The Sea, Fla. and her summer residence was at the Wyoming Camp As- ‘sociation, Exeter Township. Earlier she had resided in Dal- las and Forty Fort. She had been employed by Natona Mills, Dallas and earlier for HUD. Preceding her in death are her brothers, Sylvester and James Griffith; and sister, Cleo Grif- fith. She was a member of Ormond By The Sea United Methodist Church, John Anderson Drive, Ormond, Fla. and the Women’s Club at the Church. She was formerly a member of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church and the Amicitia Club. Surviving are her husband, Robert G. Keefer. They celebrat- ed their 59th wedding anniver- sary on September 2, 2002; sons, Colin R., and daughter-in law Karen, Dallas and David J. and daughter-in-law, Stacey Keefer, Harveys Lake; daughter, Kay L. and son-in-law Lynn Nace, Bath, Ohio; brothers, George, Ron and Fred Griffith, all of Victoria, Australia; sisters, May Murray and Betty Martin, both of Victoria, Australia; grandchildren, = Colin Griffith Keefer, Kingston, Erin L. She was a 1949 graduate of Harter High School, West Nanticoke, and became a registered nurse in 1952 at the Nesbitt School of Nursing. She was employed by the state as a registered nurse until retiring 12 years ago. She was a 12- year volunteer at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. She was. a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church Craft Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard R.
