Dallas Post Dallas, PA Thursday, October 10, 2002 Celebrity Luncheons presents Amy Wilson Celebrity Luncheons will fea- ture Scranton native actress and comedian, Amy Wilson, on Thursday, October 24. Television audiences may rec- ognize her as the uptight Barb Krolak from NBC's “Daddio,” or as the sarcastic Molly Carver from ABC’s “Norm.” She has also had a recurring guest role as Sabrina Briscoe on the WB's “Felicity,” and most recently, guest starred as Heather Ross on NBC's “Ed.” Others may rec- ognize her from the Adweek award-winning ESPN the Maga- zine commercial, in which she played an enthusiastic, but dim- witted cheerleader. Amy graduated from Scranton Central High School and went on to graduate summa cum laude from Yale University. She then moved to New York City where she appeared in many theatrical productions. In 1998, Amy made her Broadway debut as Sunny Freitag, the Atlanta in- genue, in the Tony Award-win- ning play “The Last Night of Bal- lyhoo.” Amy also writes and performs one-woman shows, working with director (and fellow native) Julie Kramer. Their most recent col- laboration, “My Roots are Show- ing,” is a funny and heartwarm- ing look at what it's like to be from Scranton. In June 2001, Amy brought this show to Mary- wood University for two sold-out performances. Her previous one- woman show, “A Cookie Full of Arsenic (My Life as a Femme Fe- tal),” was chosen for HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado in February 1999. Daughter of Jim and Nancy Wilson of Scranton, Amy lives in New York City with her hus- band, David Flannery. The final two speakers for the 2002-2003 series include the greatest con artist gone straight, Frank Abagnale, on Friday, April 25 and The Antiques Roadshow on Thursday, May 15.
