Student lunches for senior high school students are $1.75 and milk 45¢. Parents are reminded that a la carte lunches are also available. Dallas Middle School Classes begin on Tuesday, Au- gust 27. The school's master schedule has been constructed to provide each student with a’ well‘rounded program of subjects’supplement- ed ‘with’ numerous’ co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Sixth, seventh, and eighth- grade students will report to the middle school building between 7:45 and 8 a.m. Sixth-grade stu- dents, upon arrival at school, will report directly to the auditorium. seventh-grade students, upon ar- rival at school, will report directly to the gymnasium. Eighth-grade students will report directly to the cafeteria. At this time, a short orientation program including as- ‘signment to homerooms will be made. Students will then be in- structed to report to their home- rooms in preparation for their first day of school. Students will be able to pur- ' chase a lunch beginning with the first day of school. The price of a Class A lunch is $1.60. Dallas Elementary For kindergarten to fifth grade students who attend the Dallas Elementary school, school will begin on Tuesday, August 27. On August 27, first to fifth grade students will be attending full day sessions from 9:10 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Parents should con- sult the bus routes published in this newspaper to determine their child’s bus assignment and departure points. It is requested that students ride a bus to and from school the first day to facili- tate student awareness of their bus assignment and to aid the school district in maintaining ac- curate and comprehensive stu- dent transportation records. If it is necessary for a parent to ac- company a child to school, it is suggested that the student ride the bus and the parent meet the student at the school building. Regular student lunches will be available the first day. Elemen- tary lunches are $1.50, and milk is 45¢. Students may bring their entire lunch or may purchase their beverage. Snacks are avail- able. Kindergarten students will at- tend pre-arranged sessions on August 27 and August 28. On Thursday, August 29, morning students will take buses to school and be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. Afternoon students will be picked up for a 2:15 p.m. arrival at school and will be dismissed with the other students at the end of the day. On Friday, Au- gust 30, they will attend regularly scheduled kindergarten sessions. Class lists will be posted at Dallas Elementary School the week of August 19. All students who know their assignments may report directly to their classroom on the first day. The following plans_have been made for stu- dents who have not had the op- portunity. to check posted lists. - All second, third, fourth and fifth grade students will report to the cafeteria. First grade students will report to the library. Teacher and parent volunteers will be available to aid students. Parent information meetings are being planned and will be an- ‘nounced shortly. Wycallis Elementary Classes will begin Tuesday, Au- gust 27 at the Gerald J. Wycallis Elementary School. Students in the first through fifth grades will attend full day sessions from 9:10 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., beginning August 27. The school building will open at 9 a.m. Student supervision will be- gin at this time. On the first day, students in grades one through five will report directly to their classrooms. Faculty and staff will be available to assist students to their classrooms. Bus routes and schedules are published in this newspaper. Bishop Hoban High School and Wyoming Semi- nary Upper School students will be given the choice of riding a Gate of Heaven bus and trans- ferring to the Hoban/Sem shut- tle bus at Gate of Heaven or meeting the shuttle bus at the Gate of Heaven parking lot be- fore 7:25 am. There will be no stop locations from Gate of Heaven to Seminary/Hoban. To reduce the traveling time and distance, the AM and PM Elementary #20 Bus route through Midway Manor has been abbreviated and several stops have been deleted. Only the following intersecting pick- up and drop-off points will be used: Manor Dr. and MapleCrest Manor Dr. and Cedar Lane Manor Dr. and Green Rd. Crane and Timothy roads Greenpond and Butternut roads Butternut and Limewood roads Howell and Woodbine roads Manor Dr. and Hilltop Rd. Manor Dr. and Bramblewood Morning pick-up times for Midway Manor elementary will be similar to those now in effect. Most PM drop-off times should be earlier. AM and PM routes will be the same. With the exception of Elemen- tary Route #20 in the Manor Dr., Midway Manor area, routes will remain the same as last year. Unless a student is going home to a different location, the AM and PM bus numbers usual- ly will be the same. Some Elementary students may have to shuttle to their schools.
