Britt, of Atherholt Drive, Kingston Township, cele- brated their 50th wedding anniversary, March 8, in Florida, with family and friends. Upon returning from Florida, the couple re- turned to Colonial Williams- burg, Va. and stayed at Market Square Tavern, where they had spent their honeymoon. Mrs. Britt is the former Joan R. Coolbaugh, daugh- ter of the late Laing K. and Eleanor Scott Coolbaugh, Jackson Township. Mr. Britt is the son of Edwin H. Britt, Pikes Creek, and Ada Kishpaugh Britt, Trucksville. The couple were married in the Trucksville United Methodist Church by the Britts celebrate 50th wedding anniversary late Rev. Robert T. Webster in an afternoon ceremony. Their attendants were: Matron of Honor, Jane Coolbaugh Plummer, sister of the bride; bridesmaids, Shirley Britt Updyke, sister of the groom; Eileen Guyette Gildea, friend of the bride; best man, the late Jack H. Stanley, cousin of the bride; grooms- men, Richard M. Britt, brother of the groom; Burl F. Updyke, brother-in-law of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Mr. & Mrs. Britt are parents of two children, Curtis D. Britt, Esq., who resides with his wife, Sharon W., in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carol Britt Madigan, proprietor of Toby's Creek An- tiques, Trucksville, who re- sides with her husband, Robert + M., in Shavertown. They also have five grandchil- dren, Erin B. Madigan, Colin M. Madigan, Nichole E. Britt, Jessica L. Britt and Katie J. Britt. Cancer Society Relay For Life The American Cancer Society is accepting team registrations for the Wyoming Valley Relay For Life, an event that benefits cancer research, local cancer patient services and public edu- cation. Relay For Life will be held May 4 & 5, at King's Col- lege Robert L. Beltzer Field. The Relay is a non-competitive event where teams of eight to 15 people take turns walking or running around a track, relay- style, for 24 consecutive hours.
