Jackie Thomas com- peted in the field of Physics. “I was only asked three ques- tions, so that wasn't too bad,” she said. “I studied factors that effect the evaporation of water. I found that wind had more effect than heat and motion.” The students come up with ideas and their teachers guide them. “Mrs. Cashore helped us a lot with the wording and Mr. Si- mon was a big help with our graphs,” said Molly Kalish. The 12 winners qualified for the state level of the Junior Academy of Science meeting.
