Lehman 59, Western Wayne 4 Lehman won 12 of 13 matches in their victory over Western Wayne in the PIAA Class 2A team dual semifinals. Lake-Lehman 69, Blue Ridge 0 The Black Knights won every match, including six pins, two technical falls, and two major decisions in a rout of Blue Ridge. Lake-Lehman 54, Dallas 19 The Black Knights won 11 of 13 matches, including pins by Kelby Morgan (103 pounds), John Houssock (112), Matt Dragon (125), Jeremy Schutz (135), Aaron Moyer (140), Bob Morris (171) and Matt Carey (HWT). BOYS BASKETBALL Hanover Area 49, Dallas 41 Chuck Suppon and John Si- monitis each scored a team-high 14 points, but it was not enough as Hanover defeated Dallas. The Mountaineers started the game with an 11-3 run, but Hanover responded in the second quarter with a 19-6 run.to take a five- point lead at the half, and held on for the victory. Crestwood 45, Lehman 25 Dustin Kapson had 10 points in Lake-Lehman’s loss to Crest- wood. Crestwood led by 15 at halftime, and Lehman could not muster a comeback in the sec- ond half. L-L Jr. High wrestlers finish 9-6 The Lake Lehman Junior High Wrestling team ended the regular season with a 9-6 record. They started the season 3-0, beating Mountain View, Meyers and Hanover. After losing the next four to West Scranton, Wyoming Area, Coughlin and Pittston Area, the team rebounded to defeat Crestwood and Lackawanna Trail. The Black Knights lost to Wyoming Valley West and Abington Heights. They then finished the season with a four match win streak, defeat- ing Tunkhannock, Berwick, Bloomsburg and Dallas. A highlight in this win streak was beating Bloomsburg, which is a perennial powerhouse in District 4. Bloomsburg hurried out to a 25-6 lead, but Lehman won the remainder of the bouts to come from behind and take the lead. After the Black Knights gave up two forfeits, the match came down to the heavyweight bout, with Bloomsburg leading 37-36. Billy Lamoreux secured the victory with a pin, giving Lehman a 42-37 victory. In the regular season finale, Lehman and Dallas mixed it up, with Lehman coming out on top with a 53-35 victory, In a key match, Scott Carter from Lehman won by decision over previously unde- feated Brian Goeringer 10-9 in the 138.
