2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Thursday, October 4, 2001 KATHLEEN BRADLEY Co-founder of breast cancer support group Kathleen Bradley, 49, of the “Shavertown section of Kingston Township, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001 at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Newark, N.J., she was a daughter of Agnes (Griffin) Bradley and the late Thurman Bradley. She was a graduate of Kean University and earned a masters of social work degree from Rutgers University. She worked in a variety of social work programs, including Adult Med- ical Day Care, Burlington, N.J., and as an independent consul- tant throughout northeastern PA. She served on the Board of Direc- tors of Rancocas Friends School, was a member of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and was affiliated with North Branch Friends Meet- ing. She was a volunteer advo- cate and mentor for the Depart- ment of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program under the di- rection of the U.S. Army. In 1994, she co-founded a breast cancer support group in south- ern NJ, which now has over 350 members. ) Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Richard Zatorski; son, Devin; daughter, Jill; sisters, Trish and Debra; and brothers, James and Ronald. PEGGY JONES NAGGY Former Dallas resident Margaret J. “Peggy” Naggy, 61, died Sept. 2, 2001, in a Virginia hospital. She formerly lived in Dallas and attended Westmore- land School in Kingston Twp. Mrs. Naggy was born in Hager- stown, Md., and was a retired suspension coordinator at Great Neck Middle School, Virginia Beach Public School System. She was a member of St. Gregory the ‘Great Catholic Church. Survivors include her hus- band, Robert J. Naggy; two daughters, Elizabeth “Betsy” Rosenfield and husband Marc and Emily Naggy; a son, James Naggy and wife Kristina, all of Virginia Beach; a brother, James H. Jones Jr. and wife Susan of Marshall, Va; five grandchildren, Amy Caddies, Holly Caddies, Keren Rosenfield, Jacob Naggy and Joseph Naggy; and several nephews and their families. AMADEUS DE FREITAS Community Sisters of Mercy of the Americas member Sister M. Amadeus De Freitas, a member of the Dallas Regional Community of the Sisters of Mer- cy of the Americas, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001 at Mercy Center, Dallas. The former Angela De Freitas, was. born April 8, 1908 in Georgetown, Guyana, the daugh- ter of the late John and Eugene (Vieira) De Freitas. She was a 1924 graduate of Ursuline High School, Georgetown. She entered the Sisters of Mercy in Hosororo, Guyana, on Sept. 21, 1927 and pronounced her vows on April 5, 1931. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from College Misericordia and a master's de- gree in English from the Univer- sity of Scranton. She also earned a license as a medical records technician from Mercy Hospital, Scranton, and a registered nurse's degree from Luzerne County Community College. She was head teacher in the schools of the diocese of Georgetown, Guyana, from 1931 to 1959 and from 1967 to 1969. She came to the United States in 1959 to pur- sue further education. She was a member of the faculty of College Misericordia for four years and served as medical records librari- an for two years at St. Joseph's Hospital, Georgetown. She also was a nurse at Nesbitt Hospital, Kingston, and Mercy Center. She joined the Prayer Ministry at Mercy Center in 1993, where she resided. In 1984, she had a book published, entitled A Race Well Run, which told the story of the Sisters of Mercy's ministry in Guyana. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Al- fred and Antonio; and sister, Car- men Concepcion Jardine. Surviv- ing are her nieces and nephews. MARION SINKOVE Resident of Trucksville Marion B. Sinkove, of the Trucksville section of Kingston Township, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Larksville, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Kruilla) Bellas. She was a 1940 graduate of Larksville High School. She was a banking offi- cial for the former Kingston Na- tional Bank and the Summit Bank of Kingston. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. ROY MOSS Deacon at Independent Bible Church, Noxen Roy K. Moss, 90, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Dallas, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at home. . Born March 28, 1911 in Dallas Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Sarah (Bulford) Moss. He worked for the Wright Aeronautical Corp., Patterson, N.J., and then in the mainte- nance department of the former Natona Mills, Dallas, retiring in 1974. He was a deacon for many years at the Fernbrook Primitive Methodist Church and later at the Independent Bible Church, Noxen.
