GOH begins celebration 50th anniversary ‘The 50th Anniversary Commit- tee of Gate of Heaven School, ® aires by Beth Spencer, has been looking back at the history, the accomplishments, and the contributions the school has pro- vided to the Back Mountain and other area communities. On Sept. 12, students assem- bled in the parking lot and form the number 50 to commemorate the 50th anniversary. A Sock Hop for students in grades sixth thru eighth, many in 50’s dress, ® will be held on Fri., Oct. 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. Additional activities are planned throughout the school year at Gate of Heaven.
