Lake-Lehman car show coming up The 18th annual Back Mountain Antique Care Show and Flea Market will be held Sunday, Aug. 19 on the grounds of Lake-Lehman High i School. More than 250 vehicles are expected. The show begins at 10 a.m., and late registrations will be accepted with a $10 fee. Cars must be on the field by noon. Trophies for first, second and third place will be awarded in 51 classes of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Food and soft drinks will be available, along with a homemade bake sale. Admission is $2 for adults, with children under 12 free. The show is a Jundraiser for the Lake-Lehman Band Boosters. One of the featured cars will be Scott McGolff’s 1966 Ford Fairlane GT convertible. This is an unrestored car with 15,000 original miles, a 390/335 hp engine, 4-speed transmission, original white top and red interior. The car re- cently placed first at the Carlisle All Ford Nationals and was the celebrity pick of the show’s owner. The Ford will be featured in a national magazine later this year. The car was placed in storage for more than 31 years by McGolff’s wife's family, and was brought out two years ago. It has won 18 trophies, and is driven to shows, not transported by trailer.
