Dallas. This historic auction features four days of live auction bidding for new articles, antiques, col- lectibles, and services.There are food and amusement booths, tents, a flea market, and the an- nual book booth. Phyllis Mundy is asking parents a simple question-do your children have health insurance? She will offer a solution to qualified parents who answer “no” to that question. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wed., June 27, Mundy will host a Children’s Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, enrollment, providing parents the opportunity to have their questions answered about the free or low-cost health insurance program for uninsured children up to age 19. Representatives of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania will be on hand to answer questions and assist parents in completing applications for enrollment. Child car seat inspection July 18 The Dallas Borough Police in conjunction with the Northeast Highway Safety Program will conduct a safety child car seat inspection at Mr. Z's parking lot in Dallas on Wed, July 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Officers will examine child car ' seats to insure correct installa- tion and use. Officers will make adjustments to the seats if need- ed. Children under 1 year of age and under 20 pounds must be in a rear facing car seat. Chil- dren under 4 years old and un- der 40 pounds must be in a for- ward facing car seat. There is no charge for the ser- vice and children will receive stuffed animals. Krywicki receives Bucknell master’s degree Jason Krywicki, Shavertown, received a master of science degree in mechanical engineering May 20 from Bucknell University. His thesis was, “Use of the Empirical Mode Composition-Hilbert Transform to Estimate Damping in Continuous Structure.” Krywicki graduated cum laude from Bucknell in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. As an under- graduate, he was a dean's list student and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and Tau Beta Pi engineering honor so- ciety, as well as contributor to the student-run campus newspaper, “The Bucknellian.” Following graduation, he will work for Northrop Grumman, Baltimore.
