Kevin Engler added a triple and two singles for the winners while team- mate D. J. Anderson contributed two singles. Ruch struck out 11 batters to gain the victory. For the Red Sox, Joe Kaiser had three hits. Kaiser and An- drew Judge combined to strike out six Rangers. Pirates 10, Giants 0 Steven Cornia shut out the Giants, collecting six strikeouts. Jordan Krawitz and Brad Fagula each collected two hits, including a Fagula double. Scott Summa also doubled for the win- ners. See BMT BALL, pg 10 PSU ‘Masters’ July 20 at Irem | The Alumni Society of Penn State Wilkes-Barre will hold its sixth annual “Masters” Golf Tournament Friday, July 20 at the Irem Temple Country Club. The tournament is open to all amateur golfers and proceeds benefit a variety of student programs supported by the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Society. Registration and lunch start at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $120 per golfer and includes lunch, greens fee, cart, banquet, and com- plimentary beverages. A hole-in-one on hole #7 wins a trip for two to the Caribbean. Penn State “Masters” blazers will be awarded to members of the winning championship flight team. P.LLAA. Rules and Officials will be used. To assure the participation of each girl chosen, nine innings will be played and the ten run rule will be suspended. Each player will wear her own team uniform. Additional equipment will be provided. Each team will be comprised of 18 senior girls from teams in the Wyoming Valley Softball League, which will be di- vided into East and West teams.
