Born Oct. 18, 1922, in Larksville, he was a son of the late Harold and Edna (Bolton) Heidel. He was a 1942 graduate of Edwardsville High School. He worked for Cleveland Brothers, Wilkes-Barre, for 15 years, and later for Lehigh Electric Engi- neering, Wyoming, from 1963 until retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Marie Ontko; daughters, Reba Ann Yarnal, at home; Elaine Eck, Williamsport; and Donna Lee Patton, Dallas; six grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
