Estock, 93, of Dal- las, died Saturday at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born April 20, 2908, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Nytek) Estock. He attended Wilkes-Barre schools. He was a streetcar conductor for the Wilkes-Barre Transit Co. He was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. He was a charter member of the Over- brook Gun Club and the Amal- gamated Association of Street, Electric Railway and Motor Coach Employees of America. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1989; sister, Irene Babey; and brother, John. Surviving are his sisters, Eliza- beth Sedler, California; Ann Gorleski, Dallas; Wilhamena Es- tock, Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy Weaver Former music teacher Dorothy S. Weaver, 91, of Dallas, died Sunday at her home. Born Sept. 25, 1909, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daugh- ter of the late Fred and Gertrude (Hangen) Weaver. She was a graduate of Kingston High School, earned her bache- lor of science degree in music from Ithaca College in 1937 and her master's degree in mu- sic from Columbia University in 1947. She worked as a music teacher. She was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church, Huntsville. Surviving are her sister, Jean Johnson, Dallas; one nephew. Born Oct. 18, 1922, in Larksville, he was a son of the late Harold and Edna (Bolton) Heidel. he was a 1942 graduate of Ed- wardsville High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Cleveland Brothers, Wilkes-Barre, for 15 years, and later by Leihigh Elec- tric Engineering, Wyoming, from 1963 until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Shavertown United Methodist Church. He also belonged to Dallas Lodge No. 531 of the Free and Accepted Masons, Caldwell Consistory and Irem Temple. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Marie Ontko; daugh- ters, Reba Ann Yarnal, at home; Elaine Eck, Williamsport; and Donna Lee Patton, Dallas; and six grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Kwak Member of St. Therese’s Church Elizabeth A. “Betty Ann” Kwak, 61, of the Shavertown section of Kingston Twp., formerly of Nanti- coke, died Tuesday at Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born Nov. 19, 1939, in Nanti- coke, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Latsko) Mickiewicz. She was a 1957 graduate of Nanticoke High School and a 1960 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Colum- bia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, Nanticoke General Hospital until 1970, and after various nursing positions in the area, worked at Wilkes University Student Health Services, until re- tiring. She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of North- eastern Penna. College Health Nurses Association. JONES Car flips on Lower Demunds Road An accident on Lower Demunds Road sent one woman to the hospi- tal on Thursday, June 7. Kimberly A Stesney, Kingston, was travel- ing north on Lower Demunds Road at 3:21 p.m. just past Fair- ground Road in her 2001 Saturn. While rounding a slight curve in the road, the vehicle crossed over into the south bound lane and hit the guard rail. The vehicle traveled approximately 20 feet on the guard rail before flipping over, onto the roof. According to the acci- dent report filed with Dallas Township Police, Stesney reached down to get her cigarettes and took her eyes off the roadway at the time of the accident. She was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospi- tal from the accident scene.
