SENIOR MENUS Griffin named Eagle Scout Troop 281's Lee Marshall Grif- fin was awarded the highest rank in Boy Scouting of America, Eagle Scout, at an Eagle Court of Honor held on Sat, Apr 14, at the Kun- kle Community Hall. In atten- dance were approximately 100 family, friends and fellow scouts. On his road to Eagle Scout, Lee traveled to the Philmont Scout Ranch on two occasions for ten to 12 day backpacking trips in the Christo Mountain Range, New Mexico. + He backpacked various segments of the Appalachian Trail from Virginia north and trails in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. He skied the Green Moun- tains of Vermont and bicycled the C and O canal along the Potomac River. He also visited many his- toric places on these treks. Lee traveled with the North- east Pennsylvania | Boy Scout Coun- § cil to Washington, D.C. and Ottawa, Canada. He had many experiences he would have never had if it were not for the Boy Scouts and the fantastic scout leaders who worked with him.
