This event will be held at the Harveys Lake Public Boat Launch. The day is designed to bring awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving on land and the waterways. Kennard retirement dinner The son Evans United Methodist Churches are hosting a re- tirement din- ner to honor Rev. Ww. William Ken- nard, minister for 21 years. Rev. Kennard started his min- istry in 1962 in York Springs, Pa. Five years later he found himself at Selingsgrove U.M. Church. In 1969, he moved to the Diamond U.M. Church, Ha- zleton, where he came to be in- volved with hospice care. He Alder- and Falls came to Alderson and Evans Falls in 1980 where he contin- ued with hospice care work and part time for the church. Since 1991, when he left hospice he joined the church full time. His guidance and concern will be missed. The dinner will be held June 16 at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Trucksville U.M. Church on Church Rd. in Trucksville. Donation will be $15. Spaces will be allotted on a first come basis at $10 per space. A very limited number of roadside spaces will be avail- able for those who have a need to sell from their vehicle. These spaces will be $15 per space. Kelley Adams and Molly Savage will graduate from Dallas High School, and Laura Yankowski will graduate from Lake-Lehman High School. Each student will exhibit ten to 20 pieces of art- works which highlight their artistic endeavors throughout their high school years.
