Co-chairs of this effort are Christine Kutz and' Karen Kaleta, members of the church. Since 1993, this project of Samaritan’s Purse, an interna- tional Christian relief organiza- tion, has collected and distrib- uted millions of boxes to needy children around the world. “We are thrilled with the re- sults of this year’s campaign,” said Mrs. Kutz. “We mailed doz- ens of letters to churches and organizations in the area and re- ceived over 100 more boxes than last year.” The individual shoe boxes were packed in large cartons to be de- livered to a central collection site in Lewisburg. From there they will be sent to Charlotte, NC for shipment over seas. “We wish to thank Bullock's Tire and Auto Store for donating a U-Haul trailer for us to use to deliver the boxes to Lewisburg,” said Mrs. Kutz. "And we want to thank everyone who donated the boxes to help children around the world who will now enjoy a little of the spirit of Christmas.” by Sandy Peoples POST PHOTO/SANDY PEOPLES Volunteers (from left) Mallory Trojan, Christine Kutz and Jay Trojan carried cartons of filled shoeboxes to waiting trucks.
