In addition to all the activities they will do in their Troops and Service Units, girls in the Council can participate in over 60 events, workshops, service projects, travel and leadership opportunities, or patch programs sponsored by the Council. Any girl, ages 5 through 17 or kindergarten through 12th grade, can be a Girl Scout. ' Girls of different races, cultures and reli- gious groups are welcome. Every girl is expected to make the Girl Scout Promise and try to live by the Girl Scout Law. The open- ing day program will feature the "Sister Act" along with the tradi- tional Rally Day activities.
