Born in Kunkle, he was the son of the late Charles and Carrie (Hoyt) Martin. He was a farmer and timberman. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lena Miller; son, Roy; and grandchildren, Windy Stevens and Ernest Bolton. Surviving are his daughters, ' Ernestine Roberts and Lois Bolton, ‘both of Kunkle; Wanda Gray, - Sweet Valley section of Ross Town- ship and Dorothy Stevens, Jenningsville; sons, Richard, Harveys Lake; and Robert, Kunkle; 12 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Fahringer, 81, for- merly of Berwick RR 3 and Harveys Lake, died July 15, 2000, at the Berwick Retirement Village II, where she lived for four months. Born. Sept. 28, 1918, in MARY ANN EVERTS Mary Ann Everts, 56, of North Mill Street West Nanticoke, died July 10, 2000, at home. She was born Oct. 26, 1943 in West Nanticoke, daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Phillips Houck. She was a graduate of Sara J. Hale School, Brooklyn, NY, and was a licensed beauti- cian. Mrs. Evarts was a member of First United Methodist Church, West Nanticoke. She was a mem- ber of the Tilbury Fire Company and the Tilbury Fire Company Auxiliary, having held office in both organizations. She was judge of election in Plymouth Township and was a member of Firwood Methodist Church Rainbow Girls Assembly 5. Surviving are her husband, Raymond J. Sr.; daughter, Ginger Evarts, Plymouth Township; sons, Raymond, Jr., Hanover Township; Andy, West Nanticoke; six grand- children; sister, Beverly Delkanic, Hunlock Creek; brothers, Oliver (Corky) Houck, West Nanticoke Heights, Arthur Houck. The proposed regional recre- ational park in Lehman Township will be about 80 acres, much larger than the 35 acre park in South Abington township, and will serve the entire Back Mountain. It will offer facilities available at the South Abington park and more. “People should show their support and give input. They'll have a park th wants.” In the future, the Back Mountain park may have an indoor facility which could feature a pool, an indoor track, and community meeting rooms. She was ahomemaker, 4-H and Cub Scout leader and member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Nescopeck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L.; sons, David B. and Daniel R.; brother, Bowman Elliott. Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Gunderson, Berwick RR 3 and eight grandchildren.
