The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, July 12, 2000 OBITUARIES ROBERT J. EIPPER Robert James Eipper, 85, of Roxbury, CT, died Sunday, July 2, 2000. Mr. Eipper was born July 13, 1914, in Dallas, son of the late Christopher J. and Mary Smith Eipper. He was valedictorian of Dallas Township High School Class of 1932. Mr. Eipper was a dairy farmer and a managing partner of Castle Brae Farms in Roxbury. He served as a member of the Board of Se- lectmen in Roxbury from 1957 to 1967. He served as first select- man from 1965 to 1967 and later from 1979 to 1985. Mr. Eipper served as a repre- sentative from Roxbury to the Connecticut General Assembly from 1958 to 1965. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Eipper, Roxbury, CT; a daughter, Janice E. Cartagena, Southbury, CT; and two sisters, Mary Knecht and Alice Tinsley, both of Dallas. Sprau, 93, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Freeland, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Matilda (Stein) Hoch. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Kingston, its Friendship Sunday School class, Altar Guild, and Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G., Sr.; sis- ~ ter, Leona Kintz; and brothers, Willard and Leroy Hoch. Surviving are her daughters, Jane L. ALTHEDA TITUS Altheda Titus, 91, of Dallas, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Lakeside Nursing Center, Harveys Lake. She was born in Dallas Town- ship, daughter of the late William and Florence Smith Nulton, and resided in Idetown most of her life. She graduated from Beau- mont High School in 1926. She was a member of Loyalville ‘United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Dallas. She was employed for 10 years as a nurse's aide for the former Car- penter Nursing Home, Harveys Lake, retiring in 1975. Her husband, Harold, who died in 1987; brothers, Clifford, Claude and Carl Nulton; sisters, Eloise Moss and Emily Stash, preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Harold Duane, Lower Burrell; Dale L., Jackson Township; five grandchil- dren and eight great-grandchil- dren; sister, Jean Novajosky, Kunkle. She was born July 26, 1932, in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late George H. and Emma Jane Hicks Stritzinger, and attended Dallas High School. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Salvation Army Citadel, Wilkes-Barre, and received rib- bons at local fairs for her flowers.
