Dallas, PA Wednesday, July 12,2000 11 Peter Nulton earns Ph.D from Brown Peter Edward Norton, son of S. Edgar and Mary E. Nulton of Dal- las, a 1990 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, with a B.A. from Fordham University, received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Brown University in Providence, R.I., on May 29. Nulton earned his degree in Old World Archaeology and Art, preparing a thesis titled "The Cave- Sanctuary of Apollo Hypoakraios on the Acropolis North Slope: Poli- tics and Religion in Imperial-Age Athens." Nulton has excavated at sev- eral sites in Greece, including Corfu and Ancient Corinth, and will be excavating an Etruscan site in Murlo, Italy, this summer. Nulton has studied overseas at the American Academy in Rome, and the American School of Clas- sical Studies in Athens. In his work he has visited archaeologi- cal sites in England, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia. Weyman on dean's list at U of Delaware The University of Delaware has announced its dean's list for the spring 2000 semester. Named to the dean's list are full- time students with grade point averages of 3.33 or above (ona 4.0 scale) for the semester, with no temporary grades. The list includes Kinsy Renee Weyman, of Dallas. Weyman is a senior in nursing. Gager graduates from Colgate University Philip J. Gager, son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Gager, Dallas, re- ceived the bachelor of arts degree cum laude from Colgate University on Sunday, May 21. The Dallas Post Koslosky named Seminary Student of Month for May Wyoming Seminary senior Kourtney Koslosky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Koslosky of Shavertown, was named Stu- dent “of the Month for May § by the Kingston Lions Club. A gifted stu- dent, Koslosky was named a E Trustee Achievement ; Scholar all four years at Sem. She received the Philip P. Parsons Me- morial Scholarship as a junior, was named to the Cum Laude Society, and was named to the dean's list High Honors every se- mester. Koslosky is a member of the Blue Key Society, Peer Group, the Orientation Committee, AIDS Awareness, and the Alcohol, Drug and Tobacco group. Koslosky is a member of the swim team and served as captain in her junior and senior years. She received a remarkable four gold medals, one silver medal, KOURTNEY KOSLOSKY and three bronze medals for swim- ming at Districts during her high school career. She was named All State Honorable Mention for swim- ming as a sophomore and junior. A member of the tennis team, Koslosky served as its captain for both her junior and senior years. .She was named the Times Leader Student Athlete All-Star, and was also a semifinalist for the Times Leader's Best and Brightest in athletics. Megan Ann Murphy, a geo- sciences major and environmental studies minor, is a 1996 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. A dean's list student and Presiden- tial Scholar, Murphy was a mem- ber of Skull and Crown sophomore honor society, club crew, Habitat for Humanity, Student for the Ethi- cal Treatment of Animals, the Geo- logical Society, and served as an America Reads tutor.
