Lorah earned a Bach- elor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Univer- sity of Pittsburgh on April 29. Rob- ert graduated Magna Cum Laude and dean's list status throughout the undergraduate school. His cho- sen specialty area is in nursing care of the critically ill adult pa- tients. Lorah was also a clinical research assistant and Webmaster for the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing along with be- ing a teaching assistant in Anatomy /Physiology and tutor in Pathophysiology and Pharmacol- ogy. Lorah attained the honors of becoming a member of Sigma Theta Tau-the International Honor Society of Nursing in 1998, a member of the American Associa- tion of Critical Care Nursing in Robert K. Lorah *from Univ. of Pittsburgh 1998, was elected by his peers as the Class of 2000 representative to the Dean's Advisory Board in 1998, 1999 and 2000, and was nominated for the U.S. Army "Spirit of Nursing" Award this Spring. Lorah has been pub- lished in Critical Care Medicine, the journal of the National Criti- cal Care Symposium held in Or- lando, Florida in February of this year. Lorah is the son of Robert D. and Patricia Nagle Lorah of Trucksville. A federally funded, three-year program, Up- ward Bound teaches young adults the necessary skills to succeed in high school and helps prepare them for post secondary education.
