Naugle piched all nine innings on the mound, giv- ing up seven hits and four walks while striking out a pair. Crestwood 4, Lake-Lehman 1 Three first inning runs for Crestwood was too much to come back from as the Knights fell to the Comets on Thursday. The Crestwood pitching staff allowed just five singles to Lake-Lehman hitters, with Christine Hudak and Vicki Groff collecting two each. April Naugle struck out two on the mound. Bishop Hoban 5, Dallas 4 After the Mountaineers tied the game in the top of the seventh to eventually send the game to extra innings, the Argents came up with arun of their own in the bottom of the ninth to hand the Mountain- eers just their second loss of the season. Sarah Stolarick pitched a complete game for Dallas, strik- ing out three and walking four. Sherri Kuderka, Sarah Rodgers, and Carrie Strasser each collected two hits offensively, with Strasser doubling for one of her hits. Dallas 4, G.A.R. 0 Sarah Stolarick struck out bat- ters and surrendered only two hits as the Mountaineers shut out G.A.R. on Friday afternoon in Dallas. Sarah Rodgers led the offense, collecting three hits in- cluding a double and knocking in a run. Carrie Strasser also doubled, as the Mounts scored three runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back. BASEBALL Crestwood 8, Dallas 7 Crestwood scored 5 runs in the top of the fourth inning and two in the top of the seventh to complete a comeback from being down 5-1 after three innings of play. After scoring at least one run in each of the first four innings, the Moun- taineers did not score after that. Jeremy Harris hita two-run home run for Dallas and scored three times to shine offensively. Josh Katyl had two hits including a home run and knocked in a pair. Harris took the loss on the mound, striking out 5. TRACK Berwick 124, Dallas 24 (Girls) The Mountaineers could only come up with two first place slots in the meet as the Bulldogs knocked of Dallas. Amie Tkaczyk won the 1600 run with a time of 6:13. Randa Shahin was the other winner, taking the 300 hurdles in a time of 53.4 seconds. Shahin added a runner-up showing in the 110 hurdles. Tkaczyk fin- ished third place in the 200 dash. Spring Concert Satur- day at Lake-Lehman The Lake-Lehman Symphonic Band will present their annual Spring Concert, May 13. The concert will take place in the High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Ad- mission for adults is $3 and $2 for students. L-L freshmen receive jackets The freshmen team members of the Lake-Lehman JV/Varsity basketball team were recently presented with team jackets for the Girls Basketball Booster Club at their annual banquet. Special recognition was given to Captains Sarah Lozo and Jen Frank for their constant, high-spirited dedication and leadership for their teammates. Coaches Bill Vigorito and Darby Wolfe recognize the 7th and 8th grade team members for their hard work and dedication for the 1999-2000 season.
