LAKE-LEHMAN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF '90 REUNION, Our 10 Seminary student to perform with Lyric Consort The Lyric Consort, northeastern Pennsylvania's professional vocal ensemble, will present "Sounds For a New Millennium" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 19 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Wilkes-Barre. Comprised wholly of music composed during the final decade of our century, the program promises to serve as both a compendium of sounds and styles developed across the previous thousand years and a harbinger of music in the next millennium. Highlights include the premiere performance of two new choral works from regional composers - Matthew Herman's "A Field Afar," and Daniel Levin's "Invictus". Mr. Herman, a doctoral candidate at Temple University's Boyer School of Music, composed his work on commission from The Lyric Consort as a centerpiece for the ensemble's current recording project. Mr. Levin, a senior at Wyoming Seminary planning a career in music composition, is an accomplished keyboard and clarinet performer in both classical and jazz styles. A reception will follow the concert. Admission is $10 with a discounted price of $7 for students, senior citizens and WVIA members.
