Lake- Lehman School District policy states that a child must be 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2000 in order to register for kin- dergarten for the 2000-2001 school year. Kindergarten in the Lake-Lehman School District is an all-day program. A Pre-Kindergarten Survey Clinic will be conducted at the same time as registration. Thomas Seybert is named Penn Stater of the Quarter Dr. Mary Hines, Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus executive officer, has announced the campus’s newest Penn Stater of the Quarter is Thomas Seybert, PE, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Surveying. The Penn Stater of the Quarter is a member of the fac- ulty, staff or student body who has demonstrated a special dedi- cation to the mission of the cam- pus. Dr. Seybert has done an outstanding job serving as head of the Surveying Department dur- ing Dr. Charles Ghilan’s sabbati- cal leave during the fall semester. He enthusiastically represents his department at campus open houses and other functions. Heis always readily available to talk with prospective students and to work with current surveying stu- dents. Dr. Seybert earned his, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in civil engineering from Penn State. He has been with the Wilkes-Barre campus since Sep- tember, 1996 where he teaches land development design and stormwater management. He re- sides in Shavertown.
