2 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, February 23, 2000 OBITUARIES ROBERT CHAMBERLAIN Robert “Butch” Chamberlain, 65, of Grove Street, Trucksville, died Feb. 18, 2000, upon admis- sion to Wilkes-Barre General Hos- pital. Born in Shavertown, he was the son of the late Karl and Cleora Brong Chamberlain. He was edu- cated in the Kingston Township schools and was a lifelong resi- dent of the township. Before retiring, he was em- ployed as road supervisor for Kingston Township for 28 years. He served his first term on the Kingston Township Board of Su- pervisors. He was a member of the Trucksville United Methodist Church: life member of the Trucksville Volunteer Fire Co., where he served as fire chief; and a little league and mini-football coach. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth; and sister, Karlene. Surviving, are his wife, the former Lorraine Harrison: son, Todd J.; Trucksville; daughters, Cheryl Margellina, Lehman; Su- san, Leskovicz, Nanticoke; broth- ~. ers, Donald, Dallas; Lawrence, Winter Haven, Fla.; one grand- son; and one step granddaughter. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Memorial donations may be made to the Trucksville United Methodist Church. HOWARD S. KAMMEN Howard S. Kammen, 79, of Shavertown, died Feb. 18, 2000 in The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., son of the late Herman and Frieda Kissel Kammen. He served as a Corporal in the Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Law; sons, Alan, Chicago, Il1.; Robert, Shavertown; two grandchildren. Interment will be at Union Fields Cemetery, Ridgewood, Queens, N.Y. MARION ELAINE NOON Marion Elaine Noon, 61, of Dallas, died Feb. 17, 2000 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born Sept. 17, 1938 in Edwardsville, daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Josephine Wilk Noon, and was a 1956 graduate of Dallas Township High School. Miss Noon had been employed for 30 years as deli manager for Acme Markets, at both the Dallas and Shavertown stores. She has also been self-employed as a li- censed beautician. She was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, along with its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Lupus Society and the Big Band Society. Sister, Jean Hartman, preceded her in death. Surviving are sister, Beverly McGlynn, Lake Winola; brother, Josephd., Shavertown; nieces and nephews; companion, Joseph guido, Luzerne. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. WILLIAM JOSEPH HORSFIELD, JR. William Joseph Horsfield, Jr., 60, of Trucksville, died Feb. 19, 2000 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Kingston, son of Dorothy Dickson Horsfield, of Kingston, and the late William Horsfield, Sr. Mr. Horsfield was self-employed as a truck driver and was an Air Force veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Lou Ann Stritzinger; daughters; Lou Ann Lenahan, Dallas; Karrie Horsfield, at home; son, Brian at home; sister, Dorothy Hoover, Sweet Valley; brother, Richard, Hughestown; nieces and neph- ews. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. CATHERINE DUDA Catherine (Gram) Duda, of East Overbrook Road, Shavertown, died Feb. 18, 2000 in Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. She was born in Larksville, daughter of the late John and Julia Korshalla Shultz. Her husband, Paul, died in 1969. Brother, Frank Shultz and sister Josephine Nervitt, also pre- ceded her in death. Surviving, are son, Edward, Lewiston; daughters, Paula Feeney, Shavertown; Theresa Homza, Larksville; 10 grandchil- dren; 11 great-grandchildren; sis- ter, Mary Hahn, Larksville. Sivick, of North Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Feb. 15, 2000 at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born ‘Aug. 19,1923, in Edwardsville, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Katherine (Przczlokowski) Belenski. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sr.; and broth- ers, Frank, Joseph and John. Surviving are her sons, John, Bushkill, and Joseph, Wilkes- Barre; daughter, Bernadine Sivick, Bethlehem; four grand- children; sister, Ann Petrofski, West Pittston; brothers, Stanley, Levittown; Walter, Bethlehem; Adam, Harveys Lake; Anthony, Iselin, N.J.; Felix, Patterson, N.J.; and Alex, Germany; nieces and nephews. He was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Swoyersville, son of the late Emilio and Helen Fronczkiewicz Zannetti. His wife, Margaret, died in De- cember, 1997; sister, Mary Kaufman in 1990. Surviving, are son, Charles Jr., Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Dolores Schake, Dallas; four grandchildren; brothers, Joe, Swoyersville; Gene, Colonia, N.J.; sisters, Katie Olah, Edison, N.J.; Pat Foglietta, Luzerne; nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Swoyersville. EDWARD V. LENAHAN Edward V. Lenahan, 76, of Dallas, died Feb. 18, 2000 in Hos- pice Community Care Inpatient Unit, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes- Barre. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late James and Marie Conway Lenahan. Mr. Lenahan was a Navy vet- eran of World War II. He and his wife, the former Mary Schwab, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8.1999. Daughter, Mary Lenahan, died Jan. 7, 1947. Sister, Mary David, also preceded him in death. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Anne Marie Lenahan, Dallas; sons, Edward, Joppatown, Md.; Robert, Dallas; five grandchildren; brothers, James, Fairless Hills; Joseph, Doraville, Ga.
