Jimmy Schwerdtman led Dalls with 11 points, while Eric Samanas scored 4 points. Ryan Marascio and Michael Lloyd led the de- fense. Lehman was led by Brandon Burkhart with 14 points and Matt Shiskowski with 11. Matt Straub added 6 points. Dallas is coached by George Gracely, Lehman is coached by Jeff Hynick. Dallas 47 - Northwest 26 Ben Thomas scored 15 points and Ronnie Shiner 13 as Dallas defeated Northwest 47-26 in the 6th grade championsip game. Fieldhouse 51 - Pace Physical Therapy 42 Matt Wilson scored 21 points and Chris Kester 15 as the Fieldhouse (7-0) topped Pace Physical Therapy (4-3) 51-42. Bonner Chevrolet 52 - Sneaker King 51 Tim Crossin scored 20 points to lead Bonner Chevrolet (2-5) to a 52-51 win over Sneaker King (1- 6). Matt Daube added 19 points for Bonner. Sneaker King was led by Sam Brown with 13 points and Joe Bednash with 4. House of Nutrition, behind Shiner, wins by 10 over NAPA Ronnie Shiner led the House of Nutrition over Napa Auto Parts 50-40. Shiner had 22 points, several rebounds and assists, while Sean McAndrew played a strong game in- side dominating [PAS =RE the boards and adding 15 points. Jeff Decker and Jesse Swartwood added 6 points each, Joey DeGraba and Michael Glicini also contributed to the scoring for the House of Nutrition. Bobby Redinski had a good night on the boards grabbing several rebounds. Leading the way for Eye Care Specialist were Robert Monk 12 points, Brendan DeLaney, David Luksh 8 points apiece, Brandon Phillips 5 points and Brendan Carr 2 points. Wilkes-Barre Pallet 54 - Morgan, Stanley, Dean Whitter 18 Bobby and Connor Lenahan combined for 46 points, scoring 23 each to lead Wiles-Barre Pallet to a 54-18 victory over Morgan, Stanley and Dean Whitter. Ryan Konopki scored 6 and Kevan Housseni ahd 2 points. Defensive play by Billy Barnes and Robbie Justice helped clinch the victory. Gilroy Reality 42 - Luzerne National Bank 32 Gilroy Reality offense was led by Nick Samanas with 20 points, followed by Eric Domalski with 15 points, and Jermey Weinstock chipped in with 4 points. Ryan Gilroy and Dan Savage played a fine defensive game. Gilroy ups its record to 2-1. Luzerne Na- tional Bank offense was led by Mike Race and J.J. Durr with 16 points apiece. DYB 7th grade boys win CYC league game The 7th grade DYB boys’ tournament team ran its record to 2-0 in the Saturday CYC Intermediate League with a 50-37 win over Sacred Heart. Matt Kelly led the scoring with 19 points while Matt Daube had 13 points. Jimmy Schwerdtman added 10 and Eric Samanas had 4 points. Curtis Montz led an excellent second half man to man defense Ww which turned the game in Dallas’ favor. 8th grade championship game. Mark Yankowski led Lehman with 7 points. Semi finals Dallas 5th Grade 48 - Dallas 4th Grade 14 Brad Fagula scored 12 points, while Robert Monk and Connor Lenahan added 8 points each as Dallas 5th grade de- feated Dallas 4th grade 48-14 in a 5th grade semifinal. Adam Singer and Ryan Konopki added 6 points each for 5th grade. Matt Alfano led the 4th grade with 4 points, while A.J Pugliese, Eric Tucker, and Mark Covert scored 2 each. In the other 5th grade semifinal, Old forge topped Gate of Heaven 36-21. Under pressure Dallas had a difficult time putting solid runs together against a very talented Spartan squad last Thursday in a game played at College Misericordia. Jeff Zaruta led the Dallas scoring with eight points, John Simonitis followed with six. Dallas got five points each from Jay Carroll, Matt Wycallis, and Chuck Suppon. In the other 7th grade semifinal, Lehman de- feated Wyoming Area by forfeit. Lehman 34 - Dallas 18 Phil Kurello scored 18 points as Leh- man topped Dallas 34-18 in an 8th grade semifinal. Dallas was led by Erich Mahle with 12 points and Mitch Mitchell with 5. In the other 8th grade semifinal, North- west topped the Fieldhouse 69-47 be- hind Keith Mazonkey’s 31 points. The Fieldhouse was led by Matt Wilson with 20 points and Ken Regan with 12. Sarah Piecynski played a super game defensively and adding many assists for the win- ners. Dallas Rotary 30 - Josie’s Italian Water Ice 26 Meredith Lacey was on fire hit- ting for a game high 18 points, followed by Caitlin McGuire 8 points and Shoshanna Gitlin 4 points. Jackie Opel played a good defensive game for the Rotary. Jodi Dickson led the way for Josie’s hitting for 15 points, followed by Samantha Decker 5 points. Jessica English led the way defensively for Dallas Rotary Quality Collision holds off CDI Quality Collision held on for the 15- 13 win in a game that was close from start to finish. Quality Collision was ahead 9-5 at the half. They re- mained ahead DYB 15-11 attheend BREN EI|a{ES ofthe third quar- ter. CDI played great defense in the fourth quarter and held Qual- ity Collision scoreless. Quality Collision’s offense was led by Nikki Pisacano with 8 points and Jes- sica Jones with 5 points. Penn State Seed 21 - Order of the Eastern Star 5 Penn State Seed came out strong, scoring in all 4 quarters while playing great defense. their high scorer was Jessica Engllish with 12 points. Laura Nieman, Kathleen Paley and Jackie Arnaud each had a basket. Claire Mitchell had a three pointer. Caitie Hession and Rayanda Calkins each had two points and Megan Baker made a foul shot for Eastern Star. Suzy Krogulski and Kristin Evans played a good de- fensive game. Legion Post 672 20 - Pace Physical Therapy 10 Cassie Snider scored all of her 14 points in the first half to lead the Legion to a victory. Alicia Evans, Melissa Evans and Lauren Yurko each contributed to the win by scoring a basket. Pace had a great fourth quarter by scoring 8 points and holding the Legion scoreless. Amanda Saxon and Stephanie Pace each had four points and Brittany Prater added a basket. Eastern Insurance 16 - Fieldhouse 14 The Fieldhouse scored 12 points in the fourth quarter for a great comebck try, but Eastern Insurance held on for the win. Kasey Corbett and Sara Swepston each scored 6 points for the win- ners. Chelsea Calhoun and Kelsey Moody each had 2 points. Amy Austin and Megan Youells played great defensively. : Dallas JV basketball tourney Dec. 27-28 The Dallas Junior Varsity basketball tournament will take place Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 27 and 28 in the middle school gym. First round games will be played Monday at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The losers will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and the championship game will take place at 3:30 p.m. Those games will be preceded by girls games at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The booster club will provide manpower to operate the tournament. Erin Cooper took second place in the diving compe- tition, while freshman sister Lacey took third place in both the 50 Allardyce finished runner-up in the 100 Fly, and Colleen Murphy finished third in diving. Abbie Pisacano earned a second place finish in the 200 Free, while Cheryl Kirkwood (200 IM) and Shannon Gaffney (100 Free) each captured third place finishes. Bishop Hoban 74, Dallas 28 The Mountaineer girls again faced tough competition as the Argents of Bishop Hoban handled the Dallas team on Friday after- noon. Erin Allardyce took first in the 200 IM and second in the 100 Breaststroke. Abbie Pisacano took third place in both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle events. Erin Cooper took first in the diving competition, while teammate Col- leen Murphy took runner-up.
